EOS300D, Sigma 100-300 F4 + 1.4TC , ISO 400, 1/1200 @ F8. 550EX + BB -1.

Further to my previous post of this Wildcat mother in attack mode, this is just to show she has a sweeter side too!! Taken in dappled shade under trees.

All comments and critiques always welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking.

Nice Kitty. :D

I like the image, Carol. The whiskers really grab your attention.

A beautiful sweet look, Carol.

I don't remember ever seeing a live subject, even in a zoo.

I would have thought this was an ordinary house cat in the US, but then I saw captive. Nice motif image.

We have house cats here too you know :)

Pure bred wildcats are hard to find as they do have a habit of interbreeding with domestic cats. These particular ones are, as far as anyone can tell, pure wildcat. And yes they do look like house cats, but I wouldn't try petting one if you like having fingers

Missed this - and the prior - before. Does look like a domesticated cat but those teeth in the prior certainly disabused me of that comparison quickly. Dappled light works well for you here, and the intense stare lends an air of mystery to what is the cat's focus.
