Part of the reason for going to Arizona was to see this canyon. I was very impressed. However, there were far too many people to make it a very pleasurable experience for photographers.
EOS 1Ds, 24-70mm at 24mm, 1/6 sec, ISO 200, f/16, self timer and mirror lock-up.

This is beautiful Wil. The different shades of orange are beautiful and the light shaft coming down is really nice too. I felt the same way about the masses of people in Yosemite that you probably felt about Antelope Canyon. Makes me want to go back in late fall/early winter when less people are around!

Pretty cool one Wil.

Someday I'd like to see this but I am not in any hurry.

That is the problem although if you get the photo pass, you get to stay longer and you get to stay through some transition periods between groups that reduce the number of people dramatically. But for this reason, too many people, I prefer going deep into the lower canyon where there are many fewer people.

This is very well done.

This is an excellent shot! Live the beam of light here. Looks like such a cool place and I can see why it would be attractive to a lot of people. I guess that's the problem with beautiful places nowadays...
