Little lightshow courtesy of Mother Nature last night. Never tried to capture lightning so I decided I'd give it a try.

Great job. Love the color. Would a tighter crop on the left to eliminate the lightening on the left work?

Very nice image. I agree with the crop suggestion.

cropping it would throw it out of balance

how about cloning it out if possible?

btw, very nice image !

Wonderful photo. I tried some shots last night during the storm, but none of mine worked as well as this. I wouldn't crop the image, though I might clone out the left most bolt as suggested.

Regards,
Mike

Thanks all! It was a fun experiment in photography and I'll surely be looking for locations to shoot the next time the opportunity presents itself. As an aside - this system of storms left 1000's without electricity and as of today there are still some without. It is billed as the largest outage for the local utilities ever.

I wouldn't change it. I'd love to have a lightning shot half this good.
