after a few days of soaking spring rains, runoff was everywhere. this scene caught my eye because of the all-enveloping lush yellow-green light that resulted from the sun filtering through the wet spring foilage canopy.

My photographs aim at being true, not at being beautiful because, what is true is most often beautiful.

A pretty good one Mark. The light filtering down from the top is nice. That filtered green color is cool to see. I like the way you placed the ragged moss covered trees.

This has many sublime qualities - it doesn't punch you in the face, but invites you to quiet study and leaves you a little different. I like it.

This has more depth beyond the plane of the image than some of your other recent work. Had you gone for a longer exposure and gotten the white fuzzy water, it wouldn't feel quite so tense - the semi-frozen water really adds to the notion that forests are a sublime place.

The range in green tones is very nice to see. I get a feeling of the incredible rush of life that we see in the spring forest. Matt K's comment about the shutter speed is very interesting.
