I don't know if this is possible or has been discussed previously (didn't find it when I searched) but a convenient aspect of other forums I participate at is to "subscribe" to a topic or thread. This allows, from the front page of the forums, to quickly find and jump to topics of interest that you wish to follow.

I know we have the email notification which is appreciated but that does not seem as convenient as the subscription method.

Thanks for the consideration.

Ken

At the bottom of the page just above the dark gray footer there is a link to subscribe to each topic and also a link to bookmark it - you can also subscribe to an entire forum from the entry page.
