a digital capture version of some 8x10 view camera work i am doing. the intention is to print large - 60x80

to my eye, this scene conveys as much beauty as any grand scenic/landscape. color, texture, shape and form, decay, transformation, and regeneration abound - the beuaty in nature that is under-foot, out-of-sight, and predominately out-of-mind.

see this photograph in a triptych here

My photographs aim at being true, not at being beautiful because, what is true is most often beautiful.

At first glance, this appears very messy. But I keep looking at it and find some very interesting things. This is very well and deliberately composed.

I think I see reindeer lichen in there, no? The white stuff with the red bits.

The triptych is nice and is a must see.

thanks for taking the time to look and see.

re: the lichen. i have no idea what it is - i have heard it (or something like it) called "british soldier" lichen.

Not my cup of tea but there is a lot of interesting stuff to look at on this one.
