A couple of weeks ago we launched our new store design. At that time we made some minor changes to the header. We have now updated the header so that it is universal (as much as possible) across all areas of the site. With that the forums and portfolios are now a fixed width. Please refresh your browsers if you are not seeing this change.

With the current size restrictions on images the new forums layout creates a tight clean interface with less area to travel with your mouse. Scrolling will be increased for posts with a lot of text but we feel it will also be easier to read and follow. When we allow larger images in the future we will accommodate that capability.

Some may not like the new fixed width format but we feel it gives us better control of the final design - which is not complete in the forums area of the site. We will be making some further aesthetic and functionality changes to the forums at various stages and, at the same time, we will be adding some new features offering an increased value for members.

Please let us know immediately by email to editors@naturescapes.net if you experience any technical errors or difficulties.

In the meantime we welcome your input.

No problem with the new format here, Greg. But it did come as a surprise in the middle of browsing. I was cursing and blaming Vista! :-)

Firefox "upgraded" itself before I loaded the page and I thought the new version was going goofy. Love the new format.

The update seems to have caused the same problem with logging in that we had a few years ago. I delete on board cookies and I'm allowed in but am locked out at each forum change. I am asked for my password and user name each time I attempt to make a comment! I had to change from using Internet Explorer to Firefox for viewing last time and had to change my email.

I am out of choices now!!!

Eleanor. I just had the same problem. In addition to clearing the board cookies, I also went to Firefox Tools, Clear Recent History and Control Panel Internet Options Clear Cookies. Everything is working now. Maybe that will help. I'm trying....didn't help much with the other 2200 problem. :-)

I tried clearing the browser cookies, too, yesterday, with the same problems again today. This post worked though, so maybe I have it conquered!

As webmaster using a phpbb forum since many years, I could suggest a solution to this problem for all members without they have to delete all their cookies or stuff like that. The admin just has to change the cookie's name in ACP (no need to change all the name of the cookie, just for example the last number). I had this problem when I upgraded my forum from phpbb2 to phpbb3 few years ago.

So for the admin of naturescapes: Go to ACP, in Server configuration on the left (bottom of the page), click on "Cookie Settings", in "Cookie name:" change one letter or one number and click on "submit". Purge the cache to be sure the new cookie will be used and that's all

After that, all members will have to log-in next time they will come on the forum but their browser will save the new cookie and the problem will be solved for everyone without members have to do anything by themselves.

Sorry for my english: french is my own language. ;-)
