Thanks Paul. Something to digest over the next few weeks.

I am happy with the MkIV. This year I decided to keep the MkII and have a 5DII next to it. Since then, the sporadic photography I did, I only used the 5DmkII for obvious reasons. Next year I should want-to be out in the field more often and the mkIV is very welcome. The 5DII and 1DIV will be a happy couple for the upcoming years in my backpack.

How do you know that you are happy with the 1D4? As far as I know, they aren't shipping yet. ;)

EJ, some people know they're happy with a camera the moment they pay for it.... :P

aaah busted...

I thought I only had to watch my words inside academia  ... what I thought when I was writing this was.. 'I am happy with the announced mkIV and its features (though I still don't care about video, I haven't even tried it on the 5D2). And if Canon delivers what is promised then the 2 cams will be a happy couple. If not, then the 7D might be the 5D2's partner in crime... Hopefully, I can take the mkIV to the winter games.

Isn't it Hell to not be a lying/conniving/slimy/piece-of-crap politician? Just think, "if" you were a politician you could have simply directed your press secretary come out and tell everybody what you really meant to say the first time. But no, you playing the role of a poor ordinary slob had to come out and explain (admirably I might add) what you meant to say on your own time.

Regards,
