I will be on a 14 day Alaskan Cruise (Princess) at the end of August and I would like to know what lenses would be the most appropriate.
It will be a land & sea cruise vacation with 2 days in Denali, 1 day each at Mt McKinley, Skagway, Juneau & Ketchikan.
There will be a few riverboats excursions & a few 4 hour train rides in between.

I have these lenses: 300 2.8 with 1.4 & 2X converters, Canon 28-135 IS, Canon 16-35 2.8, Canon 70-200 2.8

Since I am not sure of the landscape I really am clueless on which of the lenses I need.
I don't want to be really bogged down & I think the 300 2.8 is going to do that
but I would feel naked without it ! Will I need the 300 2.8 for such outings?

Is this cruise the excuse to buy the Canon 24-70 2.8 ?

Please fill me in on what I might see & what lenses I should bring.

Thank you in advance,
TMA

Haven't done that trip but a very similar one (Hurtigruten along the Norwegian coast) last year. As you are going with Princess, which should mean a quite big ship, you will always look for a longer lens.

With an APS-sized sensor camera most of my pictures (including landscapes!) were taken with a 300 (around 50%) and a 70-200 (around 35%).
