Taken last month in Albion Basin, Utah. I was hoping for more wildflowers there this year but evidently it was too dry for them to be out in force... Maybe next year.

I kinda like the blurred rock in the foreground; it helps to give a sort of soft transition to the flowers.

Canon EOS 1D, 24-70 L, little bit of bounced fill flash.

I love Lupines. Very pretty photo. I'd darken the out of focus white area on the lower bottom in PhotoShop or perhaps crop some of it out.

THe background distracts from the subject for me as does the foreground blurred rock. I would have thought for an environmental shot showing the lupine in its area, that a higher shot would work better. As it is, the peak behind the flower causes it to lost its impact. If you are near, or can try again, see how it works from a higher angle with a longer focal length to blur out the background, or a lower perspective with a wider lens and make the lupin a stronger foreground subject.
The lighting is excellent for the lupin.

I like the diagonal formed by the different height in the flowers. Those are not lupines though - they're fireweed.
I personally don't like the blurred part at the bottom and would consider cropping it out.

I like it except for the bright OOF areas on the bottom.

Guy beat me to it - they aren't Lupines. It is an interesting and different photo but for my taste, the background draws too much attention from the wild flowers

I don't mind the OOF background - it gives it a sense of place while making it clear the attention is on the fireweed. I'd probably also prefer to not have the OOF rocks on the bottom though.

I like this as is, J...works for me just fine.
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.
