Hi Everyone.I've been enjoying the terrific images on this website and would like to show a few of mine.I just started using digital cameras and hope my first photo is fairly decent.

Nikon D1 SLR.Nikon 300mm AF-S F4 lens.Matrix metering, 1/125@5.6, Exposure compensation at - 1/3, ISO 400 ,Manual fill flash SB-25,slight crop, blind.

Any comments or critiques are welcome.Thanks for looking.

An excellent image, Blake. The bird is sharp and well-posed, the background is ideal, and the diagonal perch works well. Perhaps the composition would be slightly improved if you cropped a bit from the left. A fine first (or any) post.

Blake, this is very nicely done. I agree with Sandy about cropping slightly from the left. Congratulations.

Welcome to NatureScapes, Blake!! This is a wonderful shot. I agree that a slight crop off the left and an equal amount off the top to retain 35mm proportions.

Welcome to NSN! A terrific first post, that's for sure. I don't thing juncoes are too easy to get even though there may be several around at a time. Lovely BG colors, too!
