I got the impression this little ground squirrel had gotten up there to pay homage to the warm sun as it rose for a new day. I had some fun with the alignment of things in the background... The lone clouds, the tree whose triplet branches loosely mirrored the squirrel and fence posts.

Does the centered framing work for you?

Centre framing works for me Noel. I like the how you've positioned him directly in front of the tree. very artistic :)

Very creative Noel. This is really nice with the fence and the tree in the BG. It looks like he's on patrol of the field or something. Nice job.

Excellent image.. It has a number of interesting features including subject facing away, central placement, yet they all come together in a nice package. I really like that you were lower than the subject, making it seem the squirrel is in a position of power, looking over its domain. Clever shot!

Well done Noel. I really like the perspective here. The centering works for me as it emphasizes his position of king of the log. The from behind view makes him appear to be surveying his kingdom. Thanks for posting in Wildlife.

This is really cute, Noel - I like how you picked a DOF that made your subject and perch sharp, and the background soft but recognizable. I also like the angle of view here.

Noel, I also really like how you positioned this little critter surveying her/his domain. The ground squirrel certainly looks to be in power!

Definitely a strong composition. I like how you put the bit of blurry green right behind the squirrel.
