This was taken with a D100,Nkon 600 F4 mm ,F5.6, 1/1250, aperture priority, spot metering and no flash.

:D :D Cool shot Judy, I would love to see one of these, you're so lucky. You've have a lovely image here, the fluffed up feathers and the blowing plumes are wonderful.

I don't mind the look away on the bird, his face on the horizontal plane would have been more desirable , but as presented the image is a tad washed out, a touch of midtones can help, I did this using "Curves"and it also increases the saturation as well, very nice, Congrats!! 8)
