This is from sunday morning right before the sun popped up. I do like it, but 10 minutes later while i was searching for a buck to shoot, the whole valley behind this tree to the right was lit up with a golden glow of fog from the sunrise. I also had another composition of another tree completely covered in fog, which would i have stayed :x would of made for an outstanding image. To early for me to think straight i guess  Ill be sure to get it next time, comments appreciated!

Thanks gang,
robert........

Awesome shot, Robert! The little splash of color at the top is the perfect addition to this otherwise monotone image.
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.

Very nice! The possibilities for compositions with this tree are endless. Different light, different seasons, etc. Great subject!

Well seen, nicely composed and the dash of colour is gorgeous. Well done.

Sweet shot, Robert.

I don't know if it was possible given the lay of the land, but it might have been interesting to move to the left to try to compose this so that the wispy clouds don't merge with the tree silhouette (but come very close to doing so). A minor point, however. This is definitely a keeper.

Great job! I really like the dark tree silhouetted against the pastel sky.

Robert,

This is wonderful! I'm not sure a golden fog would have improved this. I like it as is.
