April actually. This female in Bandhavgarh had led her cubs into the shelter of some rocks by a stream. She slept at the 'entrance' to these rocks and would occasionally open an eye to watch us.

This is my last post for a month. I am headed to the North-East of India after the rhino, and then to the West after the Asiatic lion, and then down South after the elephant. Oh, and I hope to capture four species of primates, the Asiatic water buffalo, and two species of deer.

Comments and critiques welcome.

Thanks for looking.

Your wild Tiger shots are always appreciated! Gorgeous female AB! Wonderful shot in the fallen leaves and great composition to get her in this sinuous pose. What a beauty and the dramatic lighting really sets her off. 8) 8) 8) :)

Have a wonderful trip and I hope you have great success in finding and recording all the animals you seek. :)

Gorgeous setting and framing! Its wonderful to have wild cats posted. The slender body is really accentuated by the stripes.

Sounds like a fabulous month is ahead of you. :D We'll be anxiously awaiting your return.

I love this shot. The light is beautifully soft. I'd love to go to Rathambur (sp?) Park for tiger shots!
