This bunch of bananas was very popular for a few days in the Osa Peninsula with toucans, tanagers, and especially the capuchin monkeys. All we had to do was stand behind our cameras about 30' from the banana tree and squeeze the cable release as the various animals came by, each in their turn, to gorge on the ripe bananas. I barely had to compose.

Canon AF IS 300mm F2.8 on EOS3, 1/125" @ F2.8 on E100G with Canon 550EX strobe at -1. Spot metered on bananas.

Peace, and may the light be with you.

Excellent image. The baby is very cute. The square crop works very well and very effective use of flash.. Thanks for posting your work in Wildlife.

as Dennis mentioned, nice job on the flash Gustav..not overdone at all. cute baby in the back and excellent all around environmental/behavior shot...especially good given the difficult conditions you had to work with.
