Our September, 2002 Kenyan photo safari was a "Feline" safari. So many wonderful opportunities. We came across this family in the Masai Mara one late, late afternoon. Look closely for the third cub. We'll be going back this coming fall.

There are few catchlights this late in the day without flash which would have caused eye-shine, I am afraid.

A beautifully imaged family!

For what it's worth, I personally dislike fill flash. Something always seems not quite right about the light to me, and catchlights can be added in PS if the shot is struggling without them. Which yours is not, I might add.

The only thing I might suggest with this shot is that it seems a trifle on the cool side. I might adjust color balance of highlights just a bit toward red and yellow, and maybe up the saturation of the yellows and oranges just a bit.

Nice family portrait Len. I have not had the pleasure of seeing any small cheetah cubs. These are so cute. Thanks for posting to the motif.

Very nice family portrait. I like the way the cubs are looking one way but Mom's attention is somewhere else. A cheetah family was high on my list of wished-for subjects in Kenya but we had none on that trip.

Thanks, all.

Noel, I have partial colorblindness and can't tell how much adjustment to do. So I usually don't do any.

A great family group shot. I like the fact that they are looking around in different directions.
