I'm trying to resolve a problem I'm having while printing with a Epson 2200. Using PS CS (using a PC w/ XP) I have a severe magenta cast (both on Print Preview and the print itself). When I open the same file in PS 7 I don't have nearly the same problem although the print is not perfect.

I am using the Eye-One to calibrate a new Dell 24" Ultrasharp LCD. The old files that printed fine in the past look great on the new monitor, the prints are terrible. I have considered reloading CS, reloading the printer profiles, or going back to the CRT that worked great.

I did have to buy a new video card to make the monitor work with a DVI cord. I have had a few other problems with the new monitor, maybe the computer is too old for the new equipment.

Any ideas?

In the Printer Properties box, you need to select No Color adjustment and this should go away. DOo a search, there should be lots of threads that walk you through the correct set-up.

Look at the post from TomW in this thread for exact instructions:

I have finally figured out my problem. It took much longer than it should have and turned out to be a simple fix. Somewhere along the way my printer driver was corrupted, a simple uninstall and install of the newest printer driver from the Epson website has fixed my problem. I hope this helps others that are having similar problems and all of the normal solutions are not working for you.

The way I figured out the driver was the problem was I happened to do a print on my C-60, a really old Epson injet. It showed none of the color shift issues I had with the 2200 so I figured the problem wasn't Photoshop or the output from my computer but something associated with the printer itself.

Anyway it worked for me and for the first time in several months I can print again. It's been a good day. :D
