Hi gents

pardon this query - I am puzzled why the Nikon Z7 offers a AF fine tune option in its menu display.
Page 295 of the download manual.

It is virtually the same as on the D850/D5/D500.... :(

I was under the impression this was a necessity for older dSLRs due to limitations of the OVF/AF system, and should not be necessary for EVF systems as the AF is read directly off the sensor....?

Any insight is appreciated.

I don't that anyone could conclude that simply because an AF fine tune option is available therefore AF fine tune is necessary. I think AF fine tune is only needed when the AF is off. Still, good to have option :)
