I just bought the camera a few days ago at a really good price.
I also bought  a set up guide from Glenn Bartley.
It is only $ 5 US and is very useful.
I did the same when I bought the 7D Mark II, used Glenn's setup guide initially.
You can use his setup and then do your personalized tweaks after testing it on the field.
Highly recommended.

Very anxious to hear how you like the new equipment.

Unfortunately the weather and lack of birds are not conducive to doing any shooting right now, so testing is held up.
I bought the 5D Mark IV to replace the Mark III that I used for two years.
I bought the 5D Mark III back then as I was not willing to pay the extra to get the 1DX.
I bought the 5D Mark IV now, as I wasn't willing to pay the extra for the 1DX Mark II.
I'll try to give you some impression on ISO performance, focusing speed and accuracy as soon as I have a chance to test it.
Meantime you can check out as to what experience Glenn Bartley and Doug Brown got with the camera.

I did some testing of the 5D Mark IV with birds available around here.
It works well with 500 +1.4x and 2.0x extenders, focusing is fast and accurate.
BIF shooting with 500 +1.4x feels somewhat better than with 7D Mark II or 1D Mark IV that I still use.
ISO performance is better than 5D Mark III but I won't go over ISO 2500.
I also tried it with 100-400 L IS Mark II with and without 1.4x III.
It works with the extender, focuses fast but there is a noticeable IQ loss, so I won't use the extender with the 100-400 II lens.
