It looks like a speedwell to me. But I cant find an exact match in the guidebook. Can someone help me with the id? Thanks.

Lovely shot, intense color.

It does look like a Claytonia (Spring Beauty) or relative. Speedwell (Veronica) has four petals, this has five. For a quick check, go to http://www.enature.com and search on Claytonia, compare with Speedwell.
