Very cool shot Gary, and it sure does have some rich color! :)
Great in close shot.
I have always wondered what those little thin hair type projections are that comes from those raised knots on the fruit?
I haven't a clue myself!

Great magnification, color, and texture; I really like the way you oriented the "flow" on the diagonal. Seems like a lot of dof for such high magnification; You didn't go and buy a t/s macro, did you?

Thanks for the kind words Michael -- I believe the little strands are the remnants of the compound pistil, one per ovule/seed.

hey Craig, what a great idea -- a 90 T/S with a 100 mm of extension could be a wicked macro tool! :lol: Actually the mag on this one is probably about 2:1 so there's actually some dof to work with. :) Thanks for having a look.
