I'm still experimenting at getting down real low (on the ground) and shooting through existing foliage and using different lighting.
This was shot right along the side of an area that was in bright light while the background was in a bit more shade.
I overexposed the shot, then the background that was a bit washed out was re-saturated in PS by 15%.
Still playing, always experimenting, and loving every minute of it! :)

Thanks for looking gang!

Michael,
This is a nice theme which has endless possibilities. I wonder how a ground orchid would look?

The stalk on the right is beautifully placed, and the bright pastel tone of this is original looking. Cool!

Hi Michael
I must confess I was not sure about this image when I first opened this post, but having seen the full size version I think it’s great. A different more emotive type of shot than one normally has the chance to view and IMO all the better for it.

Regards
Matthew

Thanks gang! :)

Trevor, it just so happens that I ran across some wild type orchids along the riverbanks the other day while I was doing some exploring.
I tried to get something with them while shooting like this, but either the right angle was not there, the right foliage to shoot through, or the orchid was either spent or the brief cold weather spell we had got to them to where they did not look all that well, ...... burnt petals, etc.

But, .............. I'll keep trying! :)

Thanks again,
Mike
