I've really enjoyed the recent shots of fall colors. This was an attempt to create something with an autumnal feel but I'm not sure if it looks too "put together". I did add the acorns and rearranged the leaves to hide the grass beneath them. All comments are welcome. :)

Gorgeous fall colors, very warm and seasonal. I agree, it does appear staged, but I like it. Letting a cap fall near an acorn, scattering the acorns and caps, or having the center leaf partially cover the acorns or point towards the UL corner might have given a more casual appearance.

Zowie colors. It looks like an arrangement, but that's OK!

Arranged ?, Yes!!, Wonderful ?, Yes, Marvelous colors?, Yes
If the acorns would have been scattered just a bit and maybe only three with two partly hidden it would have been a killer shot, Still I like it a lot!!
What wonderful colors, This is something a squirrel can appreciate a lot!!!
Congrats!! 8)

Whether it was arranged or not, this is very nice. Sharpness, detail, and color are all great!

Beautiful colors and layering of the leaves. Arranged or not, its nicely done.

I'm sure there are plently of squirrels out that would love to have this picture with them when they're passing the winter.

Beautiful colors. The only nit I have is that this looks a bit too carefully arranged.

Hi Laura, The fact that you arranged this doesn't bother me at all. I do it too and call myself a "nature stylist" jokingly.... :D I usually try to mess things back up when I'm done, or put them back in order depending on how you look at it. Anyway, I like what you have here. The colors are awesome. I feel maybe the composition is just a bit bottom heavy with the two red corners that kind of mimic each other. You've quite a variety of color and shape to work with here and maybe making it look just a little more random would have worked too. Overall I really like it. Great light and DOF.

This is a great image Laura, the colours are gorgeous and the arrangement works very well - the only problem I have with this photo is that it means Summer is over!!
