I've posted a couple other shots from this morning. When there's a strong high pressure with cold stable air, one of our local black spruce bogs always has nice ground fog in the morning. I scouted the area the evening before and knew there were at least 4 moose in the immediate area. It was only a matter of having one or more of them in the ground fog when the sun broke the horizen. These 2 cooperated nicely for a short time.

Thanks for the comments.

Cool shot Tim. I like your "out of the box" moose work..

Great mood! I think I'd like it even better with the dark tree cropped off the right edge. Maybe clone the tree top off the left moose back.

Tim- A very nice moody shot. I like the monochromatic effect but do wish the tree growing out of the moose's back wasn't there. :) This image really gives off the feeling of an early Autumn morning.

Hi Tim---I really like the tones and foggy detail in this, esp. the far trees in the back and the grasses near the legs. Would like a bit more profile on the right moose and might try a square crop to eliminate the two distractions (tree on back and R. tree).

'Nother nice "moody moose" shot. Monochrome works well. Would like to see more of the right moose's face, but suspect it isn't possible under the circumstances.

Tim, Your advance scouting really paid off here! I've really enjoyed all of your misty moose photos, but this is definitely my favorite because of the interaction between the two. I hadn't noticed the tree growing out of the cow's back until reading the comments, but now it seems distracting. I'd be tempted to clone it out.
