This is a Pin-striped slug, Monoleuca semifascia, that was photographed in the wild at the Meadows in Cape May NJ. These fellows were abundant on some of the bay berry. With the help of a Wimberly plamp I was able to get this shot with two flashes without damaging the plant or the slug. Those spines will sting, so I wanted to stay clear.
EOS 1Ds, 180mm macro at f/25, 1/250 sec, ISO 200, two flashes both with diffusers. In PS, minor crop, levels USM.

Racing stripes on a slug, that's gotta be the coolest looking slug I've ever seen! Uncentering it is about the only nit I see here. Very nice!

Cool looking slug, Wil. Great sharpness and exposure, and good use of multiple flashes.

This is awesome. It does remind me of sea slugs as they are more colorful than typical slugs. This is one is gorgeous. Guess you didn't pick it up and move it to a good shooting location!!!!

Vivid colors, stripes, spines and a slug just don't seem to belong together. I've never seen anything like it.

Very well photographed! It looks like the Ronald McDonald of terrestrial mollusks.

Very, very nice, Bill. I like the contrast of spiny textures on the sluggish body and the colors. I also agree that this looks like an underwater shot!

Great shot, Wil. The colors and patterns of the insect, plus getting so much of the frame sharp at this magnification really makes it a special photo. You know you're a serious nature photographer when you put together a rig such as what you employed here to photograph a slug.
