I spotted this reflection in a small stream going through a forested area.

Taken in Newport, Rhode Island on Nov 1st, 2001.

Tim -- this is a fascinating photo, with great pattern, texture, and color. Great eye on your part to spot it. You might consider taking a look at it cropped to 8x10 proportions, removing the bottom where there is less going on than in the upper part of the picture.

I've come back to this several times. The patterns and colors really remind me of the gold flecked jewelry which is often sold at state park lodges. I wish I could think of what they call the pattern because it is very, very similar. This is really lovely IMO and I love the way the gold tones glow.

Tim, I think I've seen this before, and loved it then as I do now. Great eye to catch this. The color blast is great, and I stare at it for a long time trying to sort out the reflections.
