Yellowstone NP, late July
There are a lot of things that I would like to be different in this shot (like not clipping the antler and a different or no crop on the legs) but the look on the elks face is worth the shortcomings to me. This bull was being approached by a tourist, point and shoot in hand, while grazing in the meadow . The tourist came within 3 feet of the elk and I was thinking my next shot would be tourist on a stick . EOS 1V Provia 100F @ 200 600 mm 1/80 6.3 No Flash Tripod w/ Wimberly Head Regards,
