Hummingbird Clearwing
Hemaris thysbe

Sitting near the feeding / watering area hoping for early warblers, this moth paid several visits, so of course I shot it.  Lots.  I liked this one for the soft pastels of the Monarda and background, even if I didn't freeze the wings.

I have only ever seen one of these maybe a couple of times, and I think you caught this one very nicely, Craig.

Fine in-flight capture of the moth, the Monarda setting is pretty.

Nice capture- so cool to see one. I have only seen one myself. Come to think of it-I'll post my one and only capture from a while ago!
