You may not read the story if u are not in mood .

Around in some streets of Athens in Greece there trees with this guys . when there is troubles with the police many young people cut them from the trees in the street where they hang, and together with the pieces of marble, stones and other materials they throw them to the police. They are not as soft as oranges, especially when they are unripe and green, they are hard sometimes like stones. Police when it smells of problems, the first thing is to close the doors of the garden that is in the center and you know why !!! Some old housewives used to make sweets from them and other fruits. We call them spoon sweets here. Peel them by boiling them and change the water many times, and you have to put them in lime with water to keep them boiled but crunchy, then boil them in syrup with vanila They can also put in some peeled and roasted almonds, some people put a little lemon juice for contrast in the taste and this helps in the skin not to get black. I forgot to say that only the peel becomes sweet .

You tell a great story, Kostas!  It sounds like a lot of work to make those sweets from the peel, and don't go near the police with one of these in your hand!  A lovely image to go with your story.  I like the selective focus on the fruit and the beautiful colour.  :)

A very simple and very elegant image, I really like the selective focus and I really enjoyed the story I was not aware of ;)

A beautiful image with a very interesting story, Kostas. Both the good and the bad. It's too bad these are made into weapons! I like that at least they can also be eaten if you go to enough trouble.
As usual, your composition and good taste (in photography!) are showing here.

Very nice DOF to isolate the fruit. Interesting info that differentiates this citrus from an orange which, to me, it initially appeared to be.
