Nikon D810, Nikon 200mm F4.0 macro
ISO 64, 1/15s, F16, Tripod A few years ago I found a road kill of an intact male Rose Breasted Grosbeak. I initially pulled off the road to look to see if it was just injured and in need of assistance. When I realized it was dead I saw the underwing and was amazed at the beautiful pastel looking colors. I took some time to lay out the wing as flat as possible to get this image of a part not often seen of a Rose Breasted Grosbeak. I consider this image a sort of silver lining to an otherwise sad reason for the opportunity. Please click for higher resolution. PS: Editors, I wasn't sure if this belonged in Birds or in Macro so I placed it in the Birds Gallery for now. |
