Hi Folks

This image is full frame, to give you an idea on size...this was shot with a 90mm Macro, a +4 diopter and the optics of my underwater port adds an extra 25% magnification to the image...so you're talking 1.5:1 or more...

It took 5 of us 10 minutes to find these guys on a fan coral that was only about 2 feet across.... average size is 7-10mm from nose to tail...
Image
Canon EOS A2e, Subal CE5 housing, Tamron SP90mm Macro, Nexus Push-on +4 diopter, Dual S&S YS120 strobes....

After a roll of 36...my eyes looked like this... This image and the one I'm using for my avatar were the only usable shots from 72 frames taken.

:D

Stu,
Great shot. They are hard to find regardless, but you did an amazing job.

One per roll! What are you complaining about? :) Bet you didn't even have to set up a tripod!

Seriously, it's very nice; love the tail wrapped around the coral. Might take a bit more USM.

I've seen various seahorses in aquariums but never this one. This is a cool seahorse and a great shot!
