Squirrel Monkey
Captive
EOS30, Sigma 100-300 F4, Provia 100F, Handheld, slight crop

The colony of Squirrel Monkeys at this wild animal park have their own island including mature large trees, thus enabling them to follow their natural behaviour as near as possible. They are fascinating to watch and extremely active!

All comments and critiques are always welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking.

Cute little critter Carol. I like his placement in the frame and the diagonal of the branch he is sitting on. thanks for your contributions to this forum. I always enjoy looking at your images.

This is very nice, Carol. I really like the composition, especially how you gave the monkey lots of room in his environment. I like this one very much.

Nicely done. Looks very natural; like the way you've kept the background dark and avoided sky (might crop just a tad from the right). Fill flash might have made the monkey "pop" a bit more.

The size of the Squirrel Monkey in relation to his environment is excellent proving again that the subject need not take up the entire frame. He's also place at a strategic point in the composition. I might try just trying to bring up the dark area on his face with just a touch of levels and cloning out the bright spot URC. But all in all this is a very, very nice image.

Nice. The composition is very good, the monkey sharp and IMO the right size.

Carol --

This is a really nice shot with a great subject popping of an excellent background. The only potential improvement would be to try to eliminate the bright areas in the upper right, either by re-composing from further to the right, or cropping.
