Danaus plexippus

On Tithonia

100-400 4.5-5.6 II @ 300 mm

f/ 7.1, 1/640

iso 800

Hand held, natural light

Slight crop

Last year I shot a lot of butterflies on thistle - to the point it became almost tedious.  Evidently, this year the star attraction is the Tithonia.

Comments and suggestions always welcome.
Good light,

Another beauty! gorgeous colors including the butterfly, flower and the background. Both flower and butterfly are sharp. Composition works great.

I like your angle of view-the colors are indeed very vibrant and pleasing. Nice sharp Monarch.
