A few years ago, I had a slope behind my wall that was bare dirt. I decided to add some spring colors to it by planting around 1400 tulips to see if they would take in the dry area. Most years the dry winters only produced several hundred flowers, but they multiplied over the years. This fall, winter and spring were fairly wet and this is the best year yet for the tulips. This image only captures a few of them.
