Large milkweed bugs (Oncopeltus fasciatus) on common milkweed seed pods (Asclepias syriaca). Both adults and nymphs are shown.

Focus-stacked image created from four raw captures.

Nikon D850, Nikon AF Micro Nikkor 200mm f/4 D lens, ISO 1000, f/8, 1/640 sec. Processed in Lightroom and stacked in Helicon Focus.

Quite a sight, the aster is a nice addition to the colorful bugs and milkweed pods.
