Mexican Silverspots
Dione Moneta

Hidalgo Co, TX

We were excited to hear that one had been seen in the area - they're a "rare but regular" visitor to the Lower Rio Grande Valley.  We were excited to see 3, and I was pleased to get this shot of a pair.

Canon 1D MkIV
100-400 4.5-5.6 v.2 @400 mm
f/8, 1/160 sec (Could have used a bit more dof.)
Eval +.67
iso 400
Natural light, hand held.

Comments, suggestions, and re-posts welcome.
Good light,
Craig

Love the composition, with the two butterflies facing each other.
