Went for a walk around the pond out in the country the other day, and as the sun was going down and behind the trees, these little unknown flowers were taking on a glow of their own.
The backdrop was turning to liquid gold as the sun was setting.

If you stepped off of the path and towards the pond, there would be a drop off of about 2ft in height.
I got down low with the tripod and with the gold colored water as my backdrop and the sunlight behind me and through the trees.
I liked the way that the flower was coming up the small incline and leaning towards me, which gave me a OOF stem near the bottom and coming into focus near the top.
Numerous shots gave me a flat/smooth background, or a background with slightly OOF stems from other vegetation at pond side.
I like the ones with the vegetation more prominent in the background, as it seemed to give more depth and the feel of being there.
Maybe a little artsy nature, ........ but I like it!

Again lovely shot and I especially like the interplay of the out of focus regions including the stem slowly going out of focus with the focused flower.
