Found this at the Corpus Christi Botanical Gardens. This is the end of one of many "stalks" on this plant.

I had some time so I decided to play around with the image, and got this.

1DII with 180 macro, f11, 1/80, ISO 400. I tried many different apertures to get different DOF's and liked this one the best.

Thanks for looking.

I'm sure Forest Gump would approve Bruce, this would make a great lid for a 'Box 'a Choclits'. 8) 8) 8)

That crop is, um, different! Put it in a seven-sided frame (assuming you can find framing shop that will make one!) and hang it up 8)

I like the multiple points receding into the background, makes it look like it's coming at you.

Nice shot Bruce, and I like how the frame mimics the form of the flower!

Unusal use of framing and great use of dof. I think I have a winner!
