Acadian Hairstreak Cannon 10D, 24-70mm @ 70mm. ISO- 400, 1/250 F-16

Hello Everyone!

After starting a Naturlist position in Algonquin Park, It seems like i've been taking pictures of everything (not just birds). The Acadian Hairstreak is actually a Rare butterfly for Algonquin Park, but this year seemed to be a great year for them. (4-5 previous park records before this year, now more than 10).

Hope everyone enjoys it! and I love to hear all your critiques!

Very nice enviro type shot, good composition, wonderful details, nice colors and light, and I love the fact that the whites do not seem to be blown out very much if at all in this shot.

I sure like it, and thanks for posting!

Nice shot! Nicely saturated colors and good sharpness. Acadian Hairstreak is indeed an uncommon butterfly- the had a big year down here in some spots in New England as well.

Excellent photo. Agree about whites, nicely done!
Not as many Butterflies, Dragons, Damsels as in years past here in CT this summer. Send them south, ok? :)
