Taken during the Olympics workshop with OMSP. We got access to a lavender farm that was lots of fun to shoot!

Nikon D100
105mm macro lens
1/350 at f/4
ISO 200 RAW

The lilly is great, a little hot on the internal surface though. The background would have worked better if the purple flowers filled the upper right corner. Still a nice image, very striking.

A beautiful composition and really tough exposure to nail. Did you try any shots with fill flash to brighten up the lower part of the frame?
