EOS 3, 50mm, Kenko extension, tripod
I believe this is from a Red-tailed Hawk but I'm not positive. Playing around with some extension tubes. I should have tried to get the feather more parallel- I'll work on that next time. Thanks for your comments!

Nice shot. The bottom is slightly OOF but like you said, having the feather flat will help.

Very nice. Try getting the feather more flat and remember that 1/3 of the DOF is in front of where you are focused and 2/3 are behind.

Fine detail, warm color, and generally very well exposed. DOF is just a touch too shallow and probably closing down a stop or two would easily solve that. If you have a DOF preview on your camera, it's a very handy tool.

Nice shot Matt, it plays havoc with my eyes - those diagonal lines being so close together and reversing in the bottom half just dance all over the place!! 8) :)
