The sun was over the horizon when I spotted the joshua tree on the ridge crest. I moved so it captured the sun. there is no logic in the aperture but with almost all at near infinity, It reallydid not matter. Usually I shoot landscapes at smaller apertures.

Nice placement of the sun and I like the diagonal of the land.

Steven,

Excellent. Not the norm for the area and I really like it. Well seen and executed.

The first time I saw these trees I was amazed by all their different shapes. I really like the way the sun illuminates this tree's shape. I also really like the cloud patterns!
