This was an attempt to do something a little differently. I wanted to emphaze the groundcover and subtle colors. I could have corrected the color temperature a little more but this was very early in the morning and this is how it looked to me. Did I make the common mistake of trying to include too much here?

I like it a lot!!! I think I might boost contrast a tad.

That pine looks familiar. I like how you used the groundcover in the composition. I couldn't figure out what to do with it.

I don't feel like there's too much here, it all works well together. I also like how you've used the ground cover, I guess I overlooked that aspect of the scene! This has a very nice feel to it.

The ground cover really does anchor this shot beautifully and I love the colors here. I tried doing some birch trees without too much success when I was on vacation in Quebec a few weeks ago. Wish I had seen this shot before I went for some ideas on doing my own shots.

I think you did a good job here. I think that it would be stronger if you cropped a tiny bit off of the bottom. Just above the horizontal branch.

I also would like to see a bit more contrast.

Steve, I think you've got a wonderfully rich palette of color here! Beautiful. I think, as others have said, punch up the contrast a bit and crop out that deadfall on the bottom and this is a stunner. What varied vegetation you found all in one place making a great composition that I don't think is too busy at all. I love this!
