I had the fortune to camp close to a great aspen grove this fall and found myself shooting the trees instead of grander landscapes. Opinions and thoughts helpful.

Very very nice. I would prefer the image with the very bottom cropped off - just far enuf to eliminate the branch in the center. Just a nit though...

I agree with Gary. A little bit off the bottom works well.

Like this, though I agree with others, cropping the bottom improves the composition and makes the image stonger, in my opinion.

A really lovely autumnal scene. I do think the suggested crop makes it yet more lovely still.

I like this very much as is - if there is a crop off the bottom, I would want it to be relatively small.

forget the crop - the aspens are so much more aspeny because of the texture and color juxstaposition visavis the foreground. Maybe, and I stress MAYBE, if the foreground were darkened a bit in PS.....

p.s. the diagonal created by the forground border is also an interesting counterpoint the the verticality of the aspens.

My photographs aim at being true, not at being beautiful because, what is true is most often beautiful.

I've seen this type of photo many times, and I still like it a lot. Good eye!

Beautiful! The symmetry of the tree trunks is nice, and you caught it at the peak of yellow.
