I've climbed the Triangulation Peak Trail in the Oregon central Cascades several times. On at least three of those hikes I took a use trail off the main trail to Boca Cave. It presents one with an interesting view of Mount Jefferson from within the walls of the cave.
My first trip to the cave was in 2017 just about a month before some devastating wildfires here in the northwest - one of which affected this area. My second trip to the cave was in 2018 and the view from the cave was starkly different. The image I'm posting today is from the pre-fire environment. However, I'm linking two larger images - one of this posted, smallish image taken in 2017, and the other of an image I took in 2018 from nearly the same spot in the cave. Just so you can notice the difference. In both cases I used my Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II with the Olympus 12-40mm f/2.8 lens. In both cases I was at 12mm and f/4.5. In the 2017 shot I was at 1/1000 sec., In the 2018 at 1/500 sec.
