:o Well, after the sun had set that night.. Got cold standing out there...

Image
Another By the light of the Silvery Moon.

This one from a diffeent location. Death valley to be exact over near Zabriske Point. Had some clouds come streaming in that night and Orion stands out pretty well in teh sky.

Tech
Nikon N90s
Nikkor 17-35mm
Kodak 200 Elite Chrome
Time exposure. Setting camera to bulb and exposure rom 30-75 sec.
Exposure is dependent on brightness of the moon. If you have been out in the moonlight with no other lights around you can gauge the brightness of the moon. Just takes experience to gauge moon brightness.

Enjoy

Surreal shot; looks like it's out of science fiction with the sky contrasting with the ground. (Small nit: those two tiny dust spots in the middle of the sky.)

This is cool. I like the almost daylight effect on the land.

Love it. The streaky clouds are almost a reflection of the jagged earth. The black holes near the middle really stand out though. Wonder what they are.

Eric,

The clouds just make this image for me.

Thanks all,

Rich and Neil those spots are probably planets or bright stars because on the original they are not spots...

I always love to see well composed moonlit shots like this. They just feel so different from the norm!
