This was taken last month at Caddo Lake on the Texas side. I've always liked close-ups with the little circles that are sometimes in them. And that's what I was trying to get when I shot this picture with a telephoto lens. I just didn't figure that the little circle would be orange! :roll: The sun was right above the left corner of this picture.

Lisa, this has a lot of things going for it. Compositionally it works for the most part. The orange circle is lens flair and can be caused if you do not use a lens hood with direct or side light and primarily occurs with wide angle lenses. In regards to the shot, if you could move back just a bit and include the enitre large tree on the left, I think that would help. The shot looks a bit overexposed as well which can be corrected by braketing your exposures. Keep at it!
