The Matterhorn in one of the most famous mountains in the Alps. Shot early in the morning from Zermatt.

Canon EOS 10D, 4,0/70-200 L USM
Focal length [mm]: 98
ISO value: 100
Metering mode: Evaluative
Exposure mode: AV-priority
F-Number: F13,0
Exposure time : 1/30
No crop, some levels and curves in Photoshop

Lovely shot and brings back some memories - I used to live in Switzerland and visited Zermatt many times. I can't decide if I like how you've merged the spur in shadow on the left hand side into the background skyline. I think I might have preferred a slightly different point of view which gave some separation, but that's just my 2c :)

As a side note - for those of you who also climb look how bare the mountain is compared to previous decades. Global warming is reducing the snow pack in the alps and thawing the permafrost holding the faces of these mountains together. What used to be relatively easy climbs are getting more and more treacherous and a lot of people are getting killed by falling rock. I heard from some friends that some classic routes have even been closed.
