I'm going through my images in hopes of finding something that I've overlooked - and using it to update my website. Right now a batch of images I took during the early spring at the arboretum prairie is making a lot of noise - here I am trying to figure out why.

I added a slight gaussian blur overlay which made the tonal transitions less harsh and provides a nice counter to the stark contrast in texture.

Cheers,

matt,

very nice.

great rhythm and pace. subtle color and "compostion". just a touch of pictorialism.

what's not to like?

My photographs aim at being true, not at being beautiful because, what is true is most often beautiful.
